Joe Ybarra

Joe was born on August 8, 1947 to Joseph Ybarra and Maggie Magdelano in Orange, CA. After Joe graduated from Cerritos High School in 1965, he went on to join the United States Air Force.

In 1967, Joe married Gloria Garcia. Joe and Gloria went on to have three daughters, Lisa Marie Ybarra, Tina Marie Gregg and Sebrina Star Brouillette.

In 2010, Joe retired as Fire Chief at Edwards AFB in Kern County, CA. In 2016 Joe and Gloria built a new home in Georgetown, TX. Joe and Gloria spent their free time enjoying family, friends and gardening.

Joe was preceded in death by his eldest daughter Lisa Marie Ybarra in 2014. He is survived by his loving wife Gloria Ybarra; daughters Tina Gregg and Sebrina Brouillette; son-in-laws David Gregg and Ian Brouillette; grandchildren Christopher Holmberg and wife Chantelle Holmberg, Mercedes Rawlins and husband Drew Rawlins, Tristan Gregg, Bailee Brouillette, Madeline Starr, Dane Brouillette, Kennedy Starr; and eleven great-grandchildren.

A visitation for Joe will be held Monday, November 4, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home, 2900 Williams Drive, Georgetown, TX 78628. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 2:00 PM at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery, 14501 N Interstate Hwy 35, Pflugerville, TX 78660.
