

John H. Taylor, Jr., 90, of Georgetown, passed away on Monday, June 25, 2018. A visitation will be held on Monday, July 2nd from 5 to 7 p.m. at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel and Crematory, 393 North IH 35, Georgetown, TX. A Celebration of his Life and faith will be held Tuesday, July 3rd at 10 a.m. at the Gabriels Funeral Chapel with Reverend David Griffin officiating. Interment will follow at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.
Mr. Taylor was born in Clarksville, Pennsylvania to John H. Taylor, Sr. and Frances Mae Sharp. He married Audrey L. Park and they shared the joys of life together for 58 years. John studied Drafting and worked for El Paso Natural Gas in the engineering department until he retired and shortly after moved to Sun City Georgetown in 1996. John was actively involved in Sun City COPS, the aviation club, the chess club, wood working, carving, stained glass and ceramics. His favorite thing to do was to sit outside every evening and wave at passing cars as he loved to chat with neighbors and friends.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife Audrey, his parents, his brother and his sister. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughters, Judy and Joy, six grandkids, 15 great grandchildren and other loving family and friends.
