Joyce was born in Gueydan, Louisiana on February 13, 1931. She died September 17, 2024 and was living in Georgetown, Texas at the time of her death.
Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Chiasson, in 1971. She and Joe were high school sweethearts and together, they had three daughters. After being widowed many years, she married Ralph Pond. They had the great fun of living in Austin, California, Colorado, and Sun City, Georgetown. He preceded her in death in 2013.
Joyce is survived by her three daughters, Cyndy (Jack) Mathews, Michelle (Bernd) Lauber, and Angela (John) Chiasson. She is also survived by five grandsons, Bradley (Courtney), Adam (Jessie), Christian (Kathryn), Austin, and Gregory, as well as six great-grandchildren: Jackson, Charlotte, Hudson, Noah, Emerson, and Lorenzo .

A funeral Mass will be held Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Santa Rosa de Lima Catholic Parish, Andice, Texas. Reception to follow in parish hall.
