Karl’s life encompasses 34 years as a teacher at Peabody Elementary School in Chicago. He taught 8th grade and then set up a computer lab as a computer/math teacher. He and Mary Ellen retired to Sun City, Texas in 1999. They joined the Woodshop and established a Carving Club within the shop.
Karl is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen Mongoven; his brother, Michael Podlusky (Michelle); his sister, Rosemarie Ryan (Robert); his 3 children: Christine Tippie (Kelly), Eric Fiedler, and James Fiedler (Vanita). He has 10 wonderful grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Karl has been a strong influence in this family as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will always be loved and remembered.
