Leo E. Sevigny

Leo Sevigny, 95, of Georgetown, Texas, passed away on December 10, 2017. Leo was born in Lowell, Massachusetts to Arthur and Mary Ann Sevigny on February 26, 1922. He married his loving wife, Doris (Hebert) in 1942 and they would have celebrated their seventy-fifth wedding anniversary on December 20th. He was a member of the Greatest Generation, serving in the U.S. Army during WWII for four years. After his honorable discharge, he started a home construction business in Pelham, New Hampshire, partnering with his brother-in-law, Phillippe Tellier. After retiring, he moved to Florida, where he enjoyed the weather, playing golf, tennis, and traveling.
Leo is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Lauretta Tellier and her husband Phillippe. He is survived by two brothers and their wives, Richard and Ingrid Sevigny of Waynesboro, Virginia and Arthur and Dorthy Sevigny of Punta Gorda, Florida; his beloved wife, Doris; daughter, Anne-Marie Milot and her husband Paul; son, Robert Sevigny and his wife Patricia; five grandchildren, Michael Milot, Mark Milot, Michelle Milot, Tamara Gaines, and Tracy Sevigny; and three great-grandchildren, Mason Lukes and Madeline and Genevieve Epping.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at St. Helen Catholic Church in Georgetown, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the Wesleyan at Scenic and Wesleyan Hospice for their compassionate care and support in his final days.
