Michelle, I can only imagine how your heart is hurting right now. Mercedes must have done at least a few things right because you've turned out to be a magnificent woman and a fiercely loyal mother. I love you, mi amiga!

Mercedes was our friend.  We'll always remember the times we spent together.  We had many good laughs.  Now we know she is at peace.  We wish God's comfort to her daughter, Michelle and son, George.

Since I only get to Texas so often, I would only see Mercedes every couple years. But she always welcomed me with open arms and always enjoyed visiting.

She was funny, sassy and a bit of a character. Which is the Mercedes I'll remember.

Rest in Peace.

It was an honor to know Mercedes. Although I only knew her toward the end of her life I will always remember her as a bright red lipstick wearing spit fire! It didn't matter how badly she felt, she would put on the red lipstick! It would cover her entire upper lip just below her nose and down close to her chin :) She did not want any help with the placement of it so we just appreciated her spirit.  Michelle, thanks for the opportunity to care for your mother.

The threads that tie daughters to mothers are sometimes tenuous, sometimes strong...but always there. Nothing can change that connection formed in the womb...not circumstance, not time, not even death. Love will always win. Love you, Michelle (MLPSF).   Donna

I miss my mom and I love her with all my heart. I will always hold both the good, and bad memories in my heart because they made me who I am today.  I know that my mom loved me more than anything in the world and that's what counts in the end.
