Lidia Ofelia Veliz

She was born to the late Sabino Rodriguez and Theresita Borjas Rodriguez in Victoria, TX.

The funeral will be on September 29, 2023 from 3:00pm-5:00pm at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home, 2900 Williams Dr. Georgetown, TX 78628.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Benjamin Rodriguez and Roberto Rodriguez and sister Dora Gonzales. Lidia lived a full life and will be remembered for her achievements, including sewing multiple styles of clothing, porcelain and ceramic crafts, involvement in community events. She loved spending time with family and friends, playing card games and laughing at good jokes.

Beloved wife, mother and grandmother survived by her husband of 63 years, Fernando Veliz, Sr. of Hutto, Texas; son Fernando Veliz, Jr. (Carolyn) of Round Rock, Texas; 4 granddaughters, Loryn Taylor Walsh, Ava M. Veliz, Alaina G. Veliz, and Leia D. Veliz; and sisters Esther R. Bustos, Sally R. Sanchez and Olga Romero.
