Linda Hernandez

Linda Ruth Aylor Hernandez, 79 years old, born on August 3, 1945, in Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2025, in Salado, Texas. Linda dedicated her life to caring for special needs individuals and the elderly, embodying compassion and kindness throughout her career as a caretaker.

A woman of deep faith, Linda was actively involved in Crestview Baptist Church, where she cherished many friendships and built a strong community. Her relationship with Christ was the cornerstone of her life, guiding her actions and inspiring those around her. To know her was to love her, and her light shined bright.

In addition to her spiritual dedication, Linda had a passion for gardening, where she found joy in nurturing her plants and creating beautiful spaces. She also enjoyed cake decorating, a creative outlet that allowed her to share her love and artistry with family and friends on special occasions.

Linda is survived by her beloved daughters, Kim Fair and her husband Mackey Fair, and Katrina Peterson.  She is also survived by her brothers Robby and Billy Aylor along with their beautiful families and her son-in-law Scott Peterson and her son-in-law Keith Herber. Linda cherished her role as a grandmother to her granddaughters Kasey (and husband Joe), Lauren (and husband Jeremy), Shelby (and husband Cole), and her grandsons Dalton and Devin. Additionally, she was a proud great-grandmother to Evy, Jayme, Carter, and Clayton. Her family was her pride and joy, and she created lasting memories that they will carry in their hearts forever.

A service honoring Linda's life will take place on Wednesday, February 26th at 2:00pm located and Crestview Baptist Church (2300 Williams Drive, Georgetown 78628). A private family burial will be held at San Jacinto Memorial Cemetery in Houston, Texas on Friday, February 28th at 10:00am.

Linda will leave a legacy of love, kindness, and a heart for God. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her and her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
