Lois’ family moved to Austin when she was a teenager. Her parents owned the J&J and Lois worked for them part time as a car hop. When Lois first saw Vernon, she ran into the J&J and told her mom, “I just saw the most handsome man I’ve seen in my whole life”.
On June 6, 1958 Lois became Vernon’s wife. She and Vernon worked side by side at their upholstery business and they raised 3 daughters. Lois’ family was her world. Everyone always had a special place in her loving heart.
Lois is survived by her husband of 64 years, Vernon; daughters Debbie, Ann and Beth; 2 sons-in-law, David and Will; 5 grandchildren, Shawn and wife Karina, Jason and wife Jennifer, Devin and wife Brittany, Josh and Olivia and 8 great grandchildren, Heather, Christopher, Christian, Owen, Jonathan, Jacob, Wyatt, and Harrison.
A visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday, February 15, 2022 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, followed by a funeral service beginning at 12:00 pm. Both will take place at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown. Lois will be laid to rest at Liberty Hill Cemetery in Liberty Hill.
Serving as pallbearers will be Ann Lewis, David Lewis, Shawn Adamson, Jason Adamson, Devin Adamson and Josh Alderson.
