Born in Mexico, Luis had a lifelong passion for his family and soccer and strived to lead a life loving God and his neighbor as himself. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from the National Autonomous University of Mexico and went on to receive a Master’s Degree in International Affairs from Drew University. Whether supporting embattled youth in the judicial system, instilling valuable life skills to children on the soccer field, or educating the next generation in the classroom, Luis worked tirelessly to help others. His dedication to justice and fairness also inspired Luis to become a soccer referee, a hobby which he enjoyed greatly the past 25 years, as well as a referee instructor.
Luis is survived by his beloved family including his wife, Joyce; his children, Patrick and Jackie; his son-in-law, Jake; his granddaughters, Juliana and Jordana; and his sisters, Taty, Elly, and Ilse.
