Ann was born to the late George and Maxine Newell, in Chattanooga, TN on December 23, 1947. Her mother passed when she was very young and for a short time she was raised by family friends and then she was raised by her grandmother, Amy Davis, who independent woman.
Ann was a strong and spirited extrovert who loved to get to know and speak with anyone and everyone. She knew someone everywhere she went! Ann was known and loved by so many in her community of Georgetown, TX for the 39 years she lived here. She was a loving mother, dedicated educator and gifted photographer. She became a teacher in GISD and worked for 20 years at Annie Purl Elementary, McCoy Elementary and Frost Elementary where she wore many hats throughout the years such as Teacher's Aide and Computer/Typing Teacher. During the last decade of her teaching career she found a passion in photography and shared this love with her husband, Phil. They photographed seniors, families and weddings in and around Central TX and she knew of all the best spots to capture wonderful memories. After choosing to transition out of photography, she discovered a new passion in genealogy. She loved learning about her family's past and discovering relatives she never before had the opportunity to meet. She was a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and a true Patriot. She is dearly missed by her loved ones, who celebrate the fact that she is at peace with her creator and her memory will live on through family and friends. Her family can imagine her celebrating with her long lost relatives and connecting and cherishing them all the way she always did people here on Earth.
Ann is survived by her husband, Phil; her son Greg Burnette and daughter in law Michelle Burnette; her daughter Amy Staino and son in law Joe Staino; her grandchildren Riley Bunch and wife Stephanie Moreno Bunch, Jacob Bunch, Matthew Bunch, Bishop Burnette, Beckett Burnette and Maddox Burnette.
