Margie Hamilton

Margie Fay Hamilton was born May 1, 1925 in Weir, Texas to Anderson Fambrue (A.F.) Morris and Mary Lessie Mitchell Morris. Margie married Hugh Martin Hamilton on September 11, 1946 and they had two children.  She died August 15, 2023 in Burnet, Texas, where she resided at Pafford Place for the last nine years. Margie was a cafeteria worker for the Georgetown ISD until her retirement.  She was active in the Hill Country Fellowship Church for many years.  She loved tending to her many plants and spent countless hours enjoying her coloring books featuring nature, flowers, and geometric patterns.Margie is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sisters Ary “Sis” Cooper, Marie Helgren, LaVern Bizzell, and her brothers Elmer “Buddy” Morris, Douglas Morris, S.L. Morris, and Wallace Morris.  She is survived by her sister Barbara Gunn of Burnet, her daughter Connie Eaton and husband Carl of Van, Texas, son Kirk Hamilton and wife Marilyn of Georgetown, Texas, her granddaughters Jeannie Simone, Dawn Najera, Diana Farrar (Chris) and Tami Hamilton, her grandsons Dennis Eaton, Jeff Hempel (Shannon), Brent Hamilton (Brandon McQueen), her great grandchildren Alicia Farrar, Andy Farrar, Alena Najera, Emilee Najera, Jacob Najera, Regeana Simone, Briana Simone, Taylor Hempel, Nick Hempel, Peyton Flowers, and her great-great grandson Nolan McAdams.
