Marian Overmyer Pierson, age 91, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2026 in Georgetown, Texas surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on February 18, 1935 in Littleton, Colorado to Albert Lee Roy Overmyer Jr. and Myrtle May Ault Overmyer.
Marian was known by all who knew her for her generous heart and gentle spirit.
She grew up in Colorado and earned a bachelor's degree in social work from Colorado State University. She found joy in her career as a social worker; making a difference in many lives--particularly helping young families while working at Child Care Dallas.
Above all, Marian’s focus was her family. She raised her children Dana and Ron in Richardson, Texas. Later, she was blessed to reconnect with her high school crush and early college boyfriend, Vic Pierson. They married in 1999 and created a wonderful life together in their retirement years. They enjoyed many adventures traveling and showing family and friends around the Hill Country of Texas. In retirement she enjoyed water aerobics, pottery and the many activities on the Women’s Auxiliary in Georgetown, especially helping select the girls to attend Girl’s State each year. Her love and legacy will live on through all who knew her.
Marian is preceded in death by her parents Albert Lee Roy Overmyer Jr and Myrtle May Ault Overmyer, her sisters Alberta Johnson and Jo Ann Muckey and granddaughter Naomi Pierson. She is survived by her loving husband Vic Pierson, children, Dana Walter (husband Keith and daughter Rachel Pool), son Ron Shipp; son Brad Pierson (wife Cindy), son Mike Pierson (wife Tina), son Victor Pierson (wife Tara), niece Robyn Suderman (Doug), nephew Boyd Townsend, many sweet cousins, bonus grandchildren, and dear friends.
