She was born on October 4, 1944, in San Antonio, Texas. After spending her earliest years living next door to the man she would one day marry, she moved with her family to Houston at the age of two.
On July 20, 1968, she married Alfred H. Kircher, Jr. (AK), with whom she shared a loving marriage and built a beautiful family together.
Marilyn was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and her family was her top priority. She found joy in crocheting, counted cross stitch, working jigsaw puzzles, and taking a train ride any time she could. She especially loved Christmas—whether it was the traditions, the German stollen for breakfast Christmas morning, or perhaps her cherished Hallmark ornaments, it was a season she embraced with her whole heart.
She was preceded in death by her husband, AK; parents, Willie and Audrey Borchert; and her sisters, Becky, Dorothy, and Beverly.
She is survived by her son, Brian, and his wife Michelle; her granddaughters, Ashlyn and Mya; her daughter, Laura; and her daughter, Sarah, and her husband Christopher.
She is also survived by her sister, Frances, and her husband Chico; brothers-in-law, Bob, Jim, and Gene; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
