She was born near Lake Elsinore, California on December 27, 1930. Mary Alice graduated from Elsinore Union High School in 1948. She married Rudy Bischoff on June 23, 1951. They were married for 61 years. After her youngest son finished elementary school, she went back to college and completed a nursing degree from El Centro College in Dallas. Mary Alice worked as a Registered Nurse for 12 years at the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. She was a member of Elmwood United Methodist Church in Dallas and the Worship Place in Georgetown. She had a passion for helping people, working with children, and supporting and caring for her family.
Mary Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Rudy and her twin girls, Shirley and Susan. She is survived by her three sons, Mike, Bob (wife Tina), and Chris (wife Lisa) Bischoff. She has six grandchildren, Kristin Starr and Stephen, Rebecca, David, Robert, and Jennifer Bischoff and one great-grandchild, Shane Starr, Jr.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home, Georgetown, Texas 78628. The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 25, 2019 at The Worship Place in Sun City, 811 Sun City Blvd., Georgetown, Texas 78633. Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday afternoon at Haven of Memories Cemetery in Canton, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions may be made to The Scottish Right Children's Hospital of Dallas.
