Mary Jo Cummings, 75, was born on 13th November 1942 and passed away 31st October 2018. She was born in Red Bank, NJ. She fought a long and courageous battle with diabetes and endured over 19 years of dialysis. She lived most of her adult life in Austin and retired in Georgetown. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Holland Rios of Colorado; son, Mark Porter of Texas; grandchildren, Michelle and Jason Fernandez, Michael and Heather Harmon, Chelsea Harmon, Vanessa Harmon and Jacob Valenzuela, and Grace Rios; great grandchildren, Jason, Savannah, Josiah, Sonja, Christian, Brooklyn, Brayden, Emma, Jacob and Kaelina; siblings, Eva Cummings, J. Dixon Cummings, Linda and Don Murrell, Patsy Cummings, Michael and Michelle Cummings, Kathryn and James Treece, Laura Cummings and Petra Tepper; her soulmate, Bill Coleman; and beloved dog, Jack.
Preceding her in death are parents, Joe Veach and Mary Lee; sister, Teresa; brothers, Charles and Bobby; and our little angel, great-niece, Callie Grace Cummings.
She leaves behind a large extended family and many friends.
We would like, foremost, to thank our sister Linda for her TLC and devotion to Mary Jo. Also, the volunteers at Faith in Action, Davita and Scott & White Dialysis Centers, her doctors, especially Dr. Politz, the nurses and techs at Seton Medical Center Williamson, and the Georgetown Firehouse No. 5, for your service.
Arrangements by Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home, 2900 Williams Drive, Georgetown, Texas 78628 (512)863-2564.
