Mary Louise Wheeler

She was a very compassionate person and spent the past 15 years working as a caregiver to homebound seniors, enjoying the friendships she made and the ability to help others in need. She was also passionate about the health and welfare of animals, especially cats and dogs. Throughout her life she adopted many homeless pets, and is survived by her cat Kara and her Maltese, Bella.

She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Richard Leland Wheeler and her loving aunt Rhea. She is survived by her daughter Cristy Leigh Cunningham, and granddaughters Kayleigh, Mallory, and Ivy. She is also survived by her brothers, Wayne Herring and Eugene Herring, her sister-in-law Marsha Lee-Spriggs, and her nieces Marcia Machelle Wheeler and Melissa Ann Quan.

A visitation for Mary will be held Monday, January 9, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home, 2900 Williams Drive, Georgetown, TX 78628, with a rosary beginning at 6:00 PM. There will be continued visitation time following the rosary until 8:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, Mary requested donations be made in her honor to the Williamson County Animal Shelter.
