Merldene Elaine Larson

She is survived by her children, Charmain Elaine Larson, Shag Tu Larson and Kimberly Elaine Larson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles David Larson and son David Wayne Larson.

Merldene devoted her life to her family and to those in need. For many years, she dedicated herself to sewing clothing for children's charities and in doing so, provided comfort and warmth to hundreds of families in northern New Mexico. She continued her charity work in Texas when she relocated to a suburb of Austin, where she enjoyed her final years with her husband and several of her children. Her warmth and spirit of inclusion touched so many and she will be desperately missed. Her legacy of kindness and her spirit of generosity live on in the hearts and souls of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, whom along with anyone who was lucky enough to be touched by her, honor her and mourn the loss of the best part of us. The family will receive guests for a time of visitation at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 6, 2016. Graveside services will follow at 11:00 A.M. at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Texas.
