Michael Schilling Howard

Michael was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on July 12, 1968, to Patrick and Katherline Schilling Howard.  He and Rebecca Cagle were married on June 25, 1988.  He received a B.A. in Music Education and later a Master's Degree in Mathematics with emphasis on computer science.  Michael's jobs included being a band director at East Poinsett County School District, then a software engineer at Jacobs Engineering, Origin Electronic Arts, Sony Online and Battlecry Studios.  Michael was a member of Georgetown Church of Christ and the North Austin Gaming Group. 

He is preceded in death by his mother, both grandfathers, Grover Howard and Curtis Schilling and both grandmothers, Katie Mae Howard and Tincy Warren Schilling.

Left to mourn Michael’s passing are his wife, Becky Howard, daughters; Terra Howard of Austin and Delaney Howard of San Marcos.  Father, Patrick Howard (Carolyn) of Zachary, Louisiana, a sister, Shari Howard of Leander and brother, Greg Howard of Austin.

He will be greatly missed by family and friends. 

A visitation with the family will take place at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel, 393 N. IH 35, on Thursday June 3, from 6-8 pm. 

The funeral service will be held at Georgetown Church of Christ, 1525 W. University Ave, on Friday, June 4, beginning at 1 pm with the burial to follow at Liberty Hill Cemetery.
