Nadine L. Branton Carter Smith

Nadine retired from SW Bell/AT&T after 36 years of service.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Vernon D. Smith, parents Newell and Minnie Wood Branton, brothers Hardie Lee Branton and Thomas “Jake” Branton, nephew Thomas Branton, granddaughter Sarah Jean Smith, and great grandson Bryce Carter Koerth.

Nadine is survived by her sister, Gladys Branton Lester of Odessa; five children, Billy Smith and wife Carolyn of Bertram, Don Smith and wife Cathy of Quitman, Wayne Carter and wife Arlene of Fentress, Roger Smith and wife Kathy of Florence, Darlene Smith-Gerka and husband David of Winnsboro; 15 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 11 great great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 4, 2012 from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at the Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown. Graveside services will follow at 12:00 P.M. at the Bagdad Cemetery in Leander with Brother Gordon Bergstrom of First Baptist Church of Bertram officiating.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Ricky Smith, Sean O’Neil, Estanislao Lopez, Travis Husemann, Darrell Doramus and Bart Koerth. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Jeff Doramus, Chris Kemp, Kenneth Tanner and Jacob Sparlin.
