He was my ONLY brother, first born to Ina and Walter Leroy, our parents. I knew him to be a happy person, very busy all the time with work and family. Family to anyone who knew him as well. He loved and adored his wife Jackie, his four children and their children, talked about them a lot through the years. He was a hard worker, a great father, a good brother who had a heart as Big as Texas and then some. He always offered his knowledge and help to anyone who needed it, mostly his love is what we knew him to be about. There will never be a day that I won't think of him and ALL that he stood for. I'm proud of who he was, he will be missed. I'll see him again beyond this place in that Heavenly home we will all be called to someday. God is good, He created Nelson for us to have and love.

To the best granddad of all time, i miss you and i love you. Thank you for always being there for EVERY single person in our family, no matter what. Without you, we would not be complete. I take comfort in knowing you are no longer in pain, and probably having a good laugh up there with aunt Nancy, but i will forever miss you and your caring heart. I can’t wait to see you again one day, love you BIG!

My brother was a Godly man, good Son, Brother, Husband, Father, Great Grand Dad. He loved his wife Jackie and all the Family that they built over a life time. He was the first born to Walter L. Marshall and Ina Mary Shockley. I remember when we lived in the lower valley in El Paso Texas on Loud Rd off Alameda and my brother would put sister's Linda and myself in the front seat of his car and drive us around visiting friends. We were so little back then. My parents raised pigs, chickens and Nelson had a lamb. I remember Jackie always coming over to the house when they were so young and were dating! WOW! What memories we all shared! God Bless you my brother, Jackie and God Bless all your children in the home that the Love of God built! We will miss you! Love you my brother. May God's Peace fill your hearts at this time. Love to all, your sister Trudy and your nephew Kris.

You are truly missed dad😥 You were the best dad a family could ask for. Gentle, kind, loving and a man of God. I will never forget all the things you did for all of us and how you raised us to be the best we could be. I know you are rejoicing with our Lord and no longer in need of that oxygen and can walk without having to stop. No more hurting and that makes me a happy girl. I love you and will cherish all of the memories you made with us as children and adults. Rest high on that mountain💕
Your loving daughter, Shari.

You will truly be missed by all,
my big brother.
I enjoyed our talks lately about family and friends. You were such a good father and grandad.
Your eyes now see the glory
of GOD,
and Heaven will be a sweeter place with you there..
Until we meet again,

I loved you always,
Your little Sister,
Linda Lou💋
