How do you write a memorial message about a beautiful cousin who was just 13 months older and lived just five houses away for most of our childhood? I always loved Peggy and remember fondly the trip we took with our paternal grandparents the summer of '61 to explore Florida. Imagine our surprise and joy when we discovered that in high school we were dating two guys who were cousins, too! Peggy was beautiful inside and out. She survived a few trials like most people but came out stronger and more hopeful each time. I'll never forget when Karl came into her life and made everything perfect! I will cherish our last visit in September, 2018, in Denver during yet another Rodrigue family reunion/party. We are a close group of cousins even though we live all over the USA. We have lost three cousins in about six weeks, including siblings Peggy and Mike. The heartache is real but our family's love is still strong.

Peggy was such a beautiful soul and now is a beautiful soul in Heaven. I was so privileged to start working at Whitsett Vision group on exactly the same day Peggy did. My favorite part of the day was arriving at work and sitting in her office for 15 minutes having "therapy." We talked about everything - kids, relationships, our love for our husbands, work drama, stressors. I will miss Peggy's warm smile and calm wisdom and my heart and prayers go out to Karl and all the family that have been so close to Peggy. Love you Peggy!!

I first want to give my condolences to Peggy's family as I can only imagine the grief you all are feeling in these moments. To lose a person like Peggy has to be so difficult as she was a dear to all that knew her. I seldom meet people who instantly become such a valued friend and whom I knew would give one her best whether at work or out just having a good time. She showed me what true friendship is and was always willing to give no matter the circumstance. I loved her sense of humor and ability to see the bright side of any situation. I enjoyed talking with her as she made me laugh when discussing work or our families (it was evident she was so proud of Karl and her kids). I have to say I will deeply miss my friend, although we did not talk often but enough to let each other know the importance of the relationship through meaningful conversation. She will be remembered for many things but her kindness and caring will be missed above all to me. Lastly, I know we earthlings are in sorrow but Heaven has to be a better place for her being there. My prayers to the family and hope for a gentle peace with time.
