Priscilla Rose Zerbe passed away July 20, 2015 at the age of 73 due to a brief bout of lung cancer. Priscilla was born and raised in Salina, Kansas. In 1980 she moved to California and eventually settled in Texas. Priscilla worked with Kmart and retired after 15 years. She worked with the elderly, often volunteering her time. She worked at Kiddie College for a few years, where she was lovingly called Grammy. Priscilla crocheted for Project Linus and handed out scarves and hats that she had made all year to the homeless. She loved to travel to California to see her daughter and grandkids, to Florida to see her son and then in 2013 she filled a lifelong dream of taking a train trip to Washington DC with her husband, brother and sister-in-law. She loved exercising 3-4 times a week with her Silver Sneakers Back Row Group. Priscilla was a giving person, even in death, donating her eyes so that someone could see.
Priscilla is preceded in death by her parents Paul and Bonnie Smith and her first husband, William I. Zerbe. Survivors include husband of 35 years, Bob Behring; three children, Kim Zerbe of Georgetown, Texas, Kevin Zerbe of Panama City, Florida and Kelly Wilding of Foothill Ranch, California. She has four grandchildren; Shawna Padilla, Jenice Johnson, Bailey and Jacob Wilding and three great grandchildren-Analicia, Kailey and Isaac Padilla. Brother, Mike Smith of Arkansas City, Kansas.
Celebration of her life took place at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home, 2900 Williams Drive in Georgetown, Texas on July 21, 2015.
God saw you getting tired
and a cure was not to be
so he put his arms around you
and whispered, "Come to Me"
With tearful eyes we watched you
and saw you pass away
and although we love you dearly
we could not make you stay.
A Golden heart stopped beating
hard working hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best
