Richard Alton Holloway

He was born on October 16, 1947, in Pasadena, Texas to Joseph A. Holloway and Lola Mae (Johns) Earle.

Ricky went to school in Liberty Hill, Texas, where he was quite the athlete, playing football, basketball and running track.  He graduated in 1966 and joined the Air Force on July 11, 1966.  He married the love of his life, Barbara Kirk on December 30, 1966. They built a life together and had three children, Rhonda, Brenda and John. Ricky spent most of his life working in construction and driving a truck. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He liked playing dominoes, dancing and listening to country music. In his early years he was quite the pool player as well.  He also enjoyed playing the lottery in his later years.  He loved his family and will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by both of his parents, as well as his step-mother, Inez Holloway, sister Debbie Thompson, sister Jena Hill, and two grandsons, Christopher Wrinkle and Cody Hirstius.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Barbara, daughter Rhonda Flick (Jeff) of Temple, daughter Brenda Hirstius (David) of Holland, son John Holloway of Bartlett, sister Becky Walston (J.R.), brother Joseph Holloway, brother Robert Holloway (Jeanette), nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
