
Mark was born on Oct.14, 1951 in Houston, Texas. He graduated from the University of Texas in 1974 and received his law degree from UT in 1977. He returned to Houston to practice law with the firm of Large & Schultz.
While he lived in Houston, Mark was an active member of St.Michael’s Episcopal Church. He met his wife Pam Warren at St.Michael’s and they married in 1984.
In 1989, Pam and Mark moved to Round Rock. He attended the Episcopal Seminary of the Southwest in Austin, and she began teaching German at Georgetown High School. Eventually, Mark began working at Aircraft Systems & Manufacturing, Inc. He was working as a partner and chief financial officer at ASM at the time of his death.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Roger and Peggy Schultz, his favorite aunt, Joyce Matthews, his sister, Jan Schultz, and his cats, Purrcy Wayne and Ramases Rommel Schultz.
He is survived by his wife, Pam; his sister, Jill, and her husband Bill Skinner; his nephew and family, Austin, Amy, Ax L and Willow Skinner; his niece, Tara Long and her son, Parker; his cats, Mr.Wong, Donald J., and Gus Hopkins and many cherished colleagues, friends.
Mark Schultz was a caring husband, son, nephew, brother, uncle and friend. He was a UT-ex, a Texas Democrat, a cat lover, and a creative storyteller. One of his favorite activities was planning and decorating for holidays. He and his sisters even created an original holiday – Schmoliday, a day to celebrate an entire year’s worth of holidays in one glorious party!
Funeral services for Mark will be held at Grace Episcopal Church, 1314 E.University Ave, Georgetown,TX on Saturday, October 1, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. Following the service, a reception will be held in the church parish hall. Memorial donations may be made in Mark’s name to the fund to repair the foundation of Grace Church.
