Roger was born on Galveston Island, Texas. His dad was in the coast guard, which took him and is family all over the U.S. Some of his fondest memories were when they lived in Seattle. He loved all the beautiful trees and running streams that flowed from the mountains. They always provided the best fishing opportunities. We would all pack up in the car with our fishing poles in hand and waiting for our next great adventure. He would always have some big fish story or a wild adventure planned out for us on our hikes in the woods.
Roger made his living as a crane operator. He had so much passion for his job. He would always run home and tell stories of his day. We would all pile in the car and he would take us to all his job sites to view his master pieces. Austin, Texas would still be a little city if it were not for him. He was a modern Picasso when it came to high rise buildings.
Roger was a very spirited man. He enjoyed being the life of a party. Even in his last days here on earth he was cracking us up and dancing in his bed. He was stubborn and strong all the way to the end.
He will be remembered by his loving family. We miss you very much.
