Rohi Salah Habib Emran passed away on Sunday the 18th of October after a three year battle with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. He worked for Baker Hughes in Houston, Texas as a computer engineer before retiring to Sun City in Georgetown, Texas. Rohi received honors from the military and was a very proud U.S. Marine. He rode with the Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) while living in Georgetown. One of his proudest possessions was his big red Kawasaki Vulcan Nomad Trike motorcycle.
Rohi loved all kinds of music, but when he moved to Sun City, his favorite instruments became his guitar and banjo. He was always willing to help, he was that kind of a guy. He videoed the Sun City Follies, Plays, and other events. Rohi was greatly appreciated for this because he left fond memories for Sun City’s senior citizens. He also entertained at nursing homes and other charities by playing his guitar and banjo and singing. He belonged to ACTG, the theater club, and the sun dancers, the square dancing club in Sun City.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Beverly Emran of New Orleans, Louisiana; his sisters, Juliette Emran Hijazi of Houston, Texas, Diana Emran Green of Tuscan, Arizona, and Sylvia Emran Greenburg of Austin, Texas; and five nephews and one niece.
