Sean was born in Austin, Texas on October 24, 1979. He had a quiet, sweet nature and a respectful manner. When he did speak it was most often to make a joke or say something silly. He loved making everyone around him laugh. He was mischievous, had a great sense of humor, and a big beautiful smile. From a young age Sean was fiercely protective. He never shied away from standing up for those he cared about, even when facing bigger, scarier foes. Sean was a deeply spiritual man. He drew comfort from God’s word and often shared the reassurance he found there with those who were discouraged.
Sean was creative and loved working with his hands. He was interested in carpentry, enjoyed painting, and going to the movies. He loved listening to and making music. He played the guitar and had a beautiful singing voice. He read a lot and was always learning new things. He enjoyed riding his bike and playing frisbee. Sean was most at peace in the quiet of nature. One of his favorite pass times was fishing. He loved being on and in the water.
Sean is lovingly remembered by his mother Sandra Johnson, and sister Meredith Johnson of Pflugerville, Texas, his sister Heather Vikstedt, brother-in-law Jari Vikstedt, and niece Rachel Vikstedt, of Georgetown, Texas, aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous beloved friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents J.R. and Ruth Young, and grandparents Irvin and Virginia Johnson. Sean’s life will be honored and celebrated in a private memorial service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice Austin and The Salvation Army.
