She is the widow of Joe Gauna Sr. (June 1, 1930 to June 2, 1999) and she leaves behind four children, Abundia “Wanda” Coronado, Joe Gauna, Elvira “Vera” Peralez, and Rufina “Ruby” Carillo. She was also the loving
grandmother to 15 grandchildren and 50 great grandchildren.
Talley was born on January 5, 1933 in Ronge, Texas to Annie Rodriguez and Abundio Tobar. Her
life was lived for her family, caring and helping to raise so many more children than just her own. She spread her love to anyone she met, leaving laughter and joy across Texas. She is loved and missed both far and wide.
In her last moments Talley shared a dance with her son in law Ben Peralez and a song with grandson Eric Coronado, showing us all that the greatest thing in life is to smile with family. Although we are left with an empty place in our hearts, we know that she is dancing in heaven watching over us.
We love you and we miss you Nanny.
