Theophil "T.C." Pfennig, age 91, of Georgetown, TX, passed away in Round Rock on November 15, 2022 following a short illness. He was born in Pflugerville to Theophile Sr. and Meta Pfennig on October 25, 1931.
Family members preceding him in death were his parents, brothers, Armin, Victor, and Paul; sister Madeline, and nephew Terry.
T.C. is survived by his wonderful wife of 51 years Carole, sister-in-law Ruth Pfennig, nieces Rachel Cauley, Karen Petty (Don), and nephew Barry Pfennig (Marian). Also left to cherish his memory is great nieces and nephews that he enjoyed at large family gatherings over the years.
Following graduation from Pflugerville High School, T.C. went on to attend Texas Lutheran College. He then enlisted in the Army and served from January 1953-1955 in Chicago. After the service, T.C. was employed as a deputy tax collector for Travis County. He went on to work 15 years as assistant treasurer for the city of Austin Credit Union. He then worked at First State Bank of Pflugerville for several years. For the next 18 years, he served as President of the Austin Texas Employment Commission Credit Union. T.C. enjoyed all of his years of employment because he enjoyed helping people. T.C. was an active member of St. John's United Methodist Church and held various jobs. Being a member of the Seekers Sunday School Class was very special to him and he made lifetime friendships. T.C. and Carole enjoyed their retirement by traveling and loved their RV trips with friends in the USA and Canada.
A memorial service to honor T.C.'s life will be held Friday, December 2, 2022 at 2:00pm at St. John's UMC, 311 University Ave, Georgetown, Texas 78626. A private family burial will occur at a later date.
Those wishing to honor T.C.'s life may make memorials to St. John's United Methodist Church or to the charity of their choice.
