Thomas Randolph Evans, a longtime resident of Georgetown, TX, passed away on September 30, 2021 at the age of 72. He was born on December 28, 1948 in Houston, TX to John Billy Evans and Hazel Gaynelle (Furley) Evans.
Thomas (better known as “TR,” “Papa,” or “Tommy”) is survived by his wife of 32 years, Kimberly (Hartman-French) Evans with his devoted fur baby companion, Goober (13 years old); stepson, John French III; grandsons, Jude French, Ocean French, and Jake (French) Speer; brother, John Donald Evans; nephew, Scott Evans and wife, Linsey; niece, Kelli Evans Bujnoch and husband Jason; niece, Kristi Evans Mitchell and husband Aaron; and numerous great nephews and nieces.
TR was preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Gay Evans; and his younger sister, Marsha Evans.
After attending Madison High School and graduating from Bellaire High School in Houston, TX, TR studied at the University of Houston. He spent 17 years with Big 3 Industrial Gas in the Austin, TX area and finished his work career within the computer industry with Dell Computer and several local technology companies. His true love in life was traveling on his Harley Davidson through the USA and racing his Mustang and HD motorcycles. He was the “National Record Holder” at the “All Harley Drags” Hand shift many times.
TR was truly an animal lover and had many spoiled fur babies over the years. He had an endless passion for people. He loved his friends and had many lifetime relationships and friendships that he cherished. TR had a good, kind heart and was always helping someone, whether it was a coworker, neighbor, biker, or fur baby on the street. Advice was always in his tool box (whether you asked for it or not), given with his whole heart and soul as he cared about all he met. We will miss him terribly.
TR was cremated on October 20, 2021. There will be no funeral service at this time. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
