To the Lastrapes Family –

Knowing Tim is knowing excellence in action! As I have shared with you and so many of his colleagues, Tim’s drive for excellence is what propelled him to chart new territories. Tim thought of the small things to ensure his work products were comprehensive and accessible by all, thus, he was truly our in-house expert for meeting accessibility standards. I will miss Tim’s level of integrity and diligence to go the extra mile in all things.

As we start the new year and have begun our journey without Tim, his presence is truly missed. Tim’s legacy will continue with the work products he created, as well as the care and expertise he shared with all of us. He challenged us to be better people by working at a level of excellence with him!

Tim often spoke of his family with me, and he was so proud of his 3 sons and amazing wife! He would get tickled from time to time while telling me about family happenings, and we would have a great time visiting in his office. I could see that family meant the world to Tim and he loved you all beyond expression, as Tim always had a glow about him when he spoke of his family. I pray in the days ahead that cherished memories of Tim’s love for each of you will give you comfort and strength in finding your way moving forward.

Prayers and love for each of you during this difficult time and in the days ahead.

I worked with Tim on two projects this year. Tim was driven by a desire to produce training that was meaningful for and usable by all. His knowledge of web accessibility and WCAG standards was vast and his desire to deliver training that met all 508 compliance standards was unsurpassed.

Tim was passionate about his work. When it came to doing research and finding just the right images for one of his projects, Tim was so resourceful – delighting customers with options that provided exactly what they needed (and often what they didn’t realize they needed).

Tim was diligent about maintaining a high standard of excellence in all areas. I will miss our project discussions almost as much as I will miss listening to his granddaughter in the background and hearing the pride in his voice as he talked about family.

Tim was exceptionally committed to excellence. With his work and with his family, Tim always strove for the very best. I so greatly admired his passion for perfection, his refusal to compromise standards, and his tireless efforts to make a difference. I always loved hearing his granddaughter playing in his lap or laughing in the background during our virtual meetings. I know he was exceptionally devoted to her and to being the best grandfather possible. I will miss him.
