

Tommy was a devoted father, loving son, loyal brother, and a friend to many. He was the proud father of Lexi and Garrett Pope, who were his greatest achievement and the light of his life. Tommy loved his family fiercely and unconditionally, always putting others before himself.
He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Tommie Jean Pope, and his brother, Gary Wayne Pope.
He is survived by his father, Marvin Lee Pope; his brother, Jason Lynn Pope, wife Katie, and their children Kason and Jadie; his sister, Mandy Steenken, husband Chuck, and their children Skylar and Memphis; his sister, Heather Pope, and her daughter Avery, and step daughter, Tarynne Bailey. Tommy is also survived by many more loved ones, extended family, and close friends who will miss him deeply.
He worked for Paul Putman Construction, where he formed lasting friendships with the men he worked beside and was known to many as the best equipment operator around. Tommy was a hard worker who took pride in everything he did. He loved to dance and had his own style for the two step. He had a passion for cooking and barbequing, and nothing made him happier than feeding the people he loved. His warm heart, easy laugh, and generous spirit touched everyone he met.
Tommy's legacy of love, loyalty, and smiles will live on in all who knew him.
