

Bill was the former Postmaster of Georgetown and member of the Rotary Club from 1971 – 1975. Bill has been a member of Ben Hur Shriners Hill Country Lodge 456 from October 13, 1965 until the present. He felt deeply about donating to the Shriners and the Burn Hospital for Children in Galveston, Texas. Bill was also a member of Checkered Flag Commission at the Daytona International Speedway from 1989 to the present. His passions included flying his airplane and being a private pilot as well as NASCAR racing.
Preceding him in death are his parents and a brother Johnnie Williams.
He is survived by his son, Terry Williams and wife Becky; grandson, Connor Williams; brothers, Vernon Williams, Gene Williams and wife Jeraldine and Mel Williams and wife Cathy; sisters, Doris Pruett and husband Levi, Helen Pearson and Peggy Hill; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive guests for a time of visitation from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, January 16, 2011 at the Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas with the funeral service at 2:00 P.M. with Chaplain Dean Hamilton officiating. Interment will follow at Fore Cemetery in Georgetown.
Serving as pallbearers will be Wade Sanders, Dalton Sanders, Mike Klatt, Griffin Klatt, Michael “Bubba” Williams, Andy Anderson, Michael Huggins and Jimmy Goff. Honorary pallbearer will be David Samson.
