Virginia Hauser, 84, of Georgetown, Texas passed away peacefully with family in August 2026. She was born in 1942, in New Kensington, Pennsylvania to WWII veteran William Snyder and Blanch Bates Snyder. She was the oldest of two children. Virginia (known as “Ginny” to her friends) graduated from New Kensington High School and Carnegie College in Cleveland, Ohio. After college, she moved back to the Pittsburgh area and met the love of her life, Frank W. Hauser.
Virginia and Frank married in 1965 and lived in Pittsburgh. They later moved to Lexington, Kentucky, and then to Texas in 1970. They had three children and lived their lives in the Austin area, most of it in Georgetown. Virginia stayed at home raising her children prior to resuming a career in the medical field. After retirement, they moved to Sun City in Georgetown and she later took up a hospital volunteer role at Baylor, Scott & White Medical Center in Round Rock, Texas for 15 years.
Ginny loved people, and her volunteer role was a perfect fit for her personality. If you were to ask her, her greatest gift was caring for friends and family, especially her grandchildren. Cherishing her memory are her three children; Frank Hauser Jr., and his wife, Amanda Hauser; Jennifer Hauser Womack and her husband, Shane Womack; Lori Hauser Garcia and her husband, James Garcia; her six grandchildren, Chad Womack, Scott Womack and his wife Jade Womack, Hope Womack and fiancé Luke West, Blake Garcia, Tyler Garcia and Chance Garcia; her great-granddaughter, Scarlett Womack. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank W. Hauser, brother William Snyder Jr. and parents Blanche and William Snyder.
The family will hold a private, gravesite burial in Georgetown.
