Walter C. (Mac) McFarland, Jr. age 86, of Burnet, Texas, passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2011 in Burnet, Texas. He was born on August 14, 1925 in Liberty Hill, Texas to parents Walter C. McFarland Sr. and Vivian McFarland.
After serving in WWII in the Maritime Service, he went to work for the Department of Public Safety and was stationed in the Rio Grande Valley. He retired in 1985 with 37 years of service.
Mac is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Frances; his daughter, Judy and her husband Ronnie Moore; son, Walt McFarland and wife Anna; grandchildren, Lori and Trey Moore and Randy and Lisa McFarland; and his sister, Pill Jennings.
Funeral service will be 2:00 pm on Wednesday at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas with interment to follow at the Liberty Hill Cemetery in Liberty Hill, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Parkinson Diseases Association.
