William Clayton Broadway
January 8, 1946 – June 21, 2021
William “Clayton” Broadway, age 75, of Round Rock, went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 21, 2021, with his loving and devoted wife, Martha Ann (Johns) Broadway, by his side.
He was born on January 8, 1946, to William David Broadway and Viola Alta (Hardin) Broadway in Bertram, Texas. He met the love of his life, Martha Ann (Johns) Broadway and they married on January 3, 1968.
He served bravely in the United States Army from 1965 – 1968 and is a Veteran of the Vietnam War. After leaving the Army in 1968, Clayton worked at Texas Crushed Stone until he decided to go into the plumbing field. He worked for Ace Plumbing and Custom Plumbing, and retired in 2002 due to health reasons.
He is preceded in death by a brother: Melvin Ray Broadway; sisters: Alta Faye Johns, Geraldine Hill and Barbara Jean Moody; mother, Viola Alta Hardin Broadway; and his father, William David Broadway.
He leaves behind to cherish everlasting memories, his children MeLissa Ann Fox (John) of Weir, Texas and son: Clayton “Gene” Broadway (Julia) of Round Rock, Texas; grandchildren: Joseph Hill (Johanna), Michael Hill, Curtis Fox, Lindsey Williams (Taylor), Hailey Patrizi (Joseph), Grace Broadway and Hanna Broadway; great grandchildren: Joel Williams, Eli Williams, Hazel Williams, Ethan Garzes, Joseph Hill and Jacob Hill. He also leaves behind many other family members and friends who will dearly miss him.
Pallbearers: Joseph Hill, Michael Hill, Curtis Fox, Billy Lunsford, Jerry Lunsford and Michael Moody.
The world lost a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He fought a courageous fight and is now free of pain. For this we are thankful and know he is soaring high in the Heavens.

Visitation will be held Saturday, June 26, 2021 from 12:00 noon until 1:00 pm at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home. Services will follow at 1:00 pm. Interment with military honors will follow the service at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery. Funeral services will be live-streamed on the Facebook page of Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home.
