IN THE CARE OF
Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home
Wilma Rhea Fairclough, 82, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2023. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Wallace Allen Fairclough and survived by her son Allen Raymond Fairclough, her daughter Sherry Lynn Fairclough, grandson Ryan Taylor Fairclough, two daughter-in-laws, Lisa Fairclough and Michele Hammer, and by her precious fur baby Harley.
Wilma was a native Texan and grew up in San Antonio, Texas where she worked for over 20 years as a Special Needs Aide at North Side ISD. She thoroughly enjoyed working with mentally handicapped children. Upon her retirement, she moved to Marble Falls and then to Liberty Hill where she continued to work as long as she could in the Transportation Departments at Marble Falls ISD and Liberty Hill ISD as a school bus monitor. Most recently, Wilma was "the mascot" of the HammerDown Auctions crew in which she really enjoyed assisting at the sales (especially in the jewelry area) and meeting and chatting with the customers.
Anyone that thinks of Wilma will recall that she was always ready to go! She had a zest for life and wouldn't let hardly anything slow her down! She loved being outdoors and working in her flowerbeds (she grew roses), fishing, swimming, boating and riding her jet ski. Her love of all animals was apparent as she had numerous puppies and kitties throughout her life. She loved wearing her pretty jewelry, shopping (especially at Kohl's), playing the slots in Vegas, travelling and going out to eat.
Wilma will be missed by many and remembered in our hearts forever. Rest in peace sweet Wilma.
A memorial service for Wilma will be held Monday, January 23, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home, 2900 Williams Drive, Georgetown, Texas 78628.
