Mr. Dana Griffin Huggins

HUGGINS, DANA GRIFFIN, 98, a resident of Montgomery, AL, and former resident of McKenzie, AL, passed away Sunday, May 08, 2011. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at McKenzie Methodist Church, McKenzie, AL with Rev. Alvin Blackburn officiating. Burial will follow at South Butler Cemetery with Johnson Funeral Home directing. Mr. Huggins was proud to be able to serve in the Army from 1943-1945 during World War II and The Battle of the Bulge. Upon returning home, he was a truck driver for a period of time and then became the owner and operator of Huggins Standard Service Station for over 40 years. Mr. Huggins is survived by one Daughter, Susan Springall and Husband, Fred Springall of Montgomery, AL; Grand Daughter, Dana Springall Webster and Husband, Robert Webster of Birmingham, AL; Grand Son, Drew Springall of Tuscaloosa, AL. The family will receive friends at Johnson Funeral Home in Georgiana, AL on Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to South Butler Cemetery or to one’s favorite charity.
