Funeral service for Mrs. Jewell Dean Gorum Hallford, 86, of Red Level will be held at Johnson Funeral Home on 2pm on Wednesday August 19, 2020 with Bro. Tirey Bowen officiating. Burial will follow at Gorum Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Hallford passed away Sunday in Andalusia.

She is survived by her son, Jimmy Hallford; siblings George Gorum of Andalusia, Barbara Gomillion of McKenzie and Margie Palmer of Prattville, Alabama.

She is preceded by her husband of 40+ years Amos Hallford; father Comer Gorum; mother Pearl Rodgers Gorum; grandmother who raised her Martha Gorum; siblings C.W. Gorum of Andalusia, Earl Gorum of Red Level, Betty Dubose of Andalusia, and Olean Merritt of Red Level.

Pallbearers will be Clanton Knight, Jerry Gorum, Jeffrey Gorum, Phillip Peavy, Blake Horton, and Brent Horton.

Mrs. Hallford loved the outdoors, fishing and riding her golfcart. When she was younger, she loved tending to animals on the farm. She loved her chickens and had chickens up into her later years. She was a loving wife and mother and will be missed.

Jewel and Amos were good people..they're kin to me..I will miss knowing Jewel was there..alot of good times at their house when we were younger..RIP dear Jewel!!

Jewell was my oldest sister by 21 years . I know that most people who knew her personally knew that she was a fiesty woman and she didn't take anything off on anyone especially in her younger years ! I loved her very much and I will miss her deeply ! We talked just about everyday and I will miss our talks very much ! Jewell REST IN PEACE !! I LOVE YOU AND I' LL NEVER FORGET YOU !!
