As a child, Jeremie could always be found outside. In boyhood, he learned the art of fishing. Like most children, he enjoyed digging in the dirt and learning how things grow. He even developed quite the green thumb as a young gardener. Shortly after high school, he worked at ABC Nursery, where he had a great team for many years until he was unable to continue working due to his health.
What many may not know is that a part of Jeremie’s tribute to Scottsbluff will continue to thrive. Many family and friends would learn new landscaping jobs around town that he had a hand in creating. He didn’t have a favorite, but he enjoyed seeing each job to its completion.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Terri Steyer; grandfather, Raymond Steyer; and grandparents, Leo and Ila Jacobs.
He is survived by his father, Stephen Steyer; grandma, Marjorie Steyer; sister, Shanna Steyer; brother, Anthony (Dorothy) Steyer; aunt, Cynthia (John) Ruhaack; uncles, Ken (Mara) Jacobs, Denny (Maryanne) Jacobs, David (Gayle) Steyer, and Ronald (Leanne) Steyer; 5 nieces, 5 nephews, 3 great-nieces, and numerous cousins that will all miss him.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Fond memories and messages of sympathy may be shared for the Steyer family at www.geringchapel.com
