John Trapp Jr.

John Edward Trapp Jr., age 60, of Gering, Nebraska passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2023. His final resting place will be at Sunset Memorial Park in Scottsbluff. John was born on September 12, 1963, in Chicago, Illinois to John Edward Trapp Sr. and Gaylee (Asquith) Trapp. He honorably served his country in the United States Army from 1982 to 1984. While working for United Airlines in Chicago, John met Daughn Patton, the love of his life. They were united in marriage, and the couple was blessed with a son and enjoyed many years as a family in the Gering Valley.

As the Mountain Man representative for this area for many years, John was even the number one salesman for the nation for a time. He also worked for Sandberg Implement Inc, and was always very dedicated and hardworking. He enjoyed playing chess, including playing online, and was an avid reader, as well as a great bowler. John was a wonderful husband and father, who was very loyal to his family.

Survivors include his wife, son, a sister, two brothers, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
