Alan Wayne Budden, 63, of Glace Bay, passed away May 28, 2010, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of the late Leonard and Jean (Hillgrove) Budden of Glace Bay.
He was a member of Newsom United Church. Alan enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and family. Alan was a Chicago Blackhawks fan. In his earlier years he loved walking, and to read a good book. He also had a good sense of humour. His favourite saying was I’ll likely be here.
Surviving are daughter, Dawn (Jamie) McGuigan, P.E.I.; son, Brent Budden, Moncton; sisters, Shelley, Sherri (Adrian) McIntyre, Glace Bay, Kathy (Terry) Lineker, Vancouver; brothers, John (Wendy), Lower Sackville, Earl (Cindy), Sydney, Bruce (Rose), Glace Bay; and two grandchildren, Jenna and Jared.
Memorial service will be held at Patten Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 1 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Michael Goodfellow officiating. Burial at later date.
