Miss Brandi Priscilla Hann

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our little girl, Brandi. Brandi was born at the IWK/Grace Hospital in Halifax. She was a Grade 4 student at Glace Bay Elementary School.

She is survived by her mom and dad, Linda and Chesley Hann and her big brother Aaron Hann, all of Glace Bay ,grandparents, Priscilla Pottie, Sydney and Alexander McKinnon, Kitchener, Ontario. Brandi is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins including her favorite uncle and sidekick, Donnie Pottie, Glace Bay. Brandi was predeceased by her grandparents, Gus and Margaret Hann, Glace Bay, Aunt Diane (Pottie) Wadden, South Head and Uncle Robye Figuary, Glace Bay.

Brandi taught us the true meaning of life, love and happiness. Although she had many health issues, nothing kept her down. She was a little trooper right to the end and she loved life. Brandi loved going for drives in the van. She loved shopping for new clothes and playing her guitar.

We would like to express our special thanks to all her teachers (especially Linda Snow), and all her doctors, nurses and medical staff both locally and at the IWK/Grace Hospital for their time and dedication to Brandi’s quality of life. Special thanks to Kim Kelly Turner who made it possible for Brandi to enjoy an additional year with us. Thanks to the management and staff at Stream Global Services in Glace Bay for their consideration throughout Brandi’s life. We cannot possibly include everyone who touched Brandi’s life as she had a profound effect on everyone who knew her.

Brandi’s remains will rest at Patten Funeral Home, 71 Union Street, Glace Bay on Monday August 23,2010 from 5pm to 9pm. Funeral service will be held at the Salvation Army Citadel, Glace Bay on Tuesday, August 24,2010 at 2:00 pm. Memorial donations may be made to the IWK/Grace Hospital in Halifax.
