OBITUARY

Bruce Alexander Aitken

October 23, 1967July 4, 2020

It is with heartfelt sadness that we the family announce the sudden passing of our dear son Bruce Alexander Aitken. Bruce passed away peacefully at home on July 4 ,2020. Born in Toronto he was the son of George and Patricia (Gillis) Aitken. Bruce had a kind and gentle soul, he had a great love of music and enjoyed playing his guitar. Besides his parents Bruce is survived by his step mother Marie Aitken (Castle Bay); Uncle Donald Gillis; Great Aunt Julie Troicuk and her daughter Donna and many cousins who will miss him dearly. He was predeceased by his grandmother Mary Gillis of Glace Bay. In following Bruce’s wishes there will be no services, cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Patten Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Bruce’s memory to the Schizophrenic Society. He was deeply loved and will be missed forever.

So very sorry to hear of Bruce’s passing. He was well liked and a very personable man. We went to high school together and I have nothing but fond memories of him. May he RIP and his family take comfort in knowing they raised a fine human being.

Dearest Pat. So sorry to hear about the passing of your beloved Bruce. I remember him well from your 'apartment' days in Scarborough and when you lived up the street from us on Oxford St. It's hard to believe that he is gone at such a tender age.
