Just hving heard, I am sorry that Jimmy Beaton has passed away. Not mny yers ago, I spent an afternoon at his school where he was principal. He was in charge, but remained the same fun loving chatty Jimmy we all knew. Condolences to the family. Judith Goldberg(Medjuck.)

So sorry to hear of James' passing. He will be missed.

I am so sorry to read of Jimmy’s passing I taught with him at Cornwallis Elementary when I first started teaching. He was a lovely man. Condolences to his wife and all family and friends.

Sorry to read of Jimmy's passing. I went to school with Joanne and Dwight and also typed papers for Jimmy when he took courses. A great person, Jimmy will be missed. Louise Barkhouse

It was so sad to hear of Jimmy's sudden passing. I went to school with Jimmy at Central and Morrison High. He was always a good friend and I enjoyed walking home with him on South St when our paths crossed. Although I moved away many years ago, we stayed connected whenever I visited the Bay, and stayed connected on social media. Jimmy was always a good laugh, with a great story and never without a smile. My condolences to his family and close friends. Rest well my friend.

To the family... So sad to hear of Jimmy's passing. My husband and I have known Jim since we were teenagers. We shared the same profession later on in life. I was very honored to have worked with him at Cusack Elementary and Cornwallis Schools. After we all retired, we kept in contact with each other. We will miss him. Joe & Nan Poirier

My sincere condolences to Jimmy’s family on his passing. Jimmy was a good friend of mine in high school. Even though we hadn’t seen each other in many years, whenever we did reconnect it felt just like old times, catching up on each other’s lives. To me, he will always be “Beaton,” not Jimmy.
Rest in peace, my friend.

My deepest condolences to Paula and the family of Jimmy. I cannot express my feelings of deep loss of an old friend. I have fond memories of growing up on South St. with Jimmy and his family. We were just a few doors away from each other and were often found playing in his backyard building roads and rock houses and driving his collection of dinkies. His interest in cars started very early. We went through school just a year apart then taught together at Morrison high where we shared many laughs.
Jimmy was forever telling stories and jokes and I'm sure he has left many happy memories for his family to draw on
Remember the good times!
All my best sent to all of you!
Sincerely: Cynthia Gallant and Firman McCormick

He was such a great teacher in grade 9 at Morrison High School. Always smiling and making the odd joke to lighten the mood. He drove his Porsche to class in style and will be sadly missed. So sorry for your loss of such a wonderful man.

With saddened hearts, we send our love and condolences to all the family and friends of our dear cousin, Jimmy Beaton.
It brings a little comfort to think of you reunited with your mom and dad, and with Dwight and Joanne.
Rest in peace Jimmy.

Bill, Jennifer, Scotty, Bobby and families.

My condolences on the passing of Jim. I knew him as co worker and as a teacher of our children at Cusack school. May he rest in peace.

My sincere condolences on the passing of Jimmy. We were great friends throughout high school and I have many fond memories of the good times we would have together with our large group of friends.
Know that you are thought of during this most difficult time and be comforted by your most cherished memories of Jimmy.

My sincere condolences to Jim's relatives. May he rest in peace.

Fun times we will remember fondly with uncle Jim. From hikes in Cape Breton to that time we met up in Italy at the Trevi fountain, went to dinner at Paula and Jim’s go to spot in Rome, then found the ‘family monument’ and had a good gab & a few laughs together.

Always one to share a good yarn and story with the next generation of teachers in the family. Passing along the knowledge and humour that is part of the educator’s journey.

Uncle Jim and I at a fun family Christmas dinner.

Attended school many years ago with Jim. Lots of memories from primary to 12. Hadn't seen him in a few years . Rest in Peace and eternal light my friend.

We were very sad and shocked to hear of Jimmy's passing to say the least. I recently spoke to him in the mall two weeks ago. I worked with Jimmy at JBC which was a great experience; always pleasant and always had time to chat . May the cherished memories you have of Jimmy help guide you through this difficult time. Sending hugs and prayers to all.

                                                                         Betty and Minnow Bourgeois

To Jim's family, we offer our sincere condolences. Had bumped into Jim at Car shows, and about the community be it at the grocery store or other retail outlets. He was always upbeat and loved telling stories. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

Mr. Beaton was my principal in elementary school and then a gym friend later in life. He was a consistently warm, wonderful man throughout the years I've known him. Not too often do you come across a teacher who remembers your family after 20 years. Big hugs to you all, he has made an enormous impact on many hearts in Cape Breton!

DEAR Paula and Family,Please accept our sincere condolences at this very difficult time.I always enjoyed meeting Jim and sharing a conversation.God grant you the strength needed in the days ahead.
