Diane Christine MacMillan

Born in Glace Bay on June 22, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Mary (Parsons) Martin.

Over the years Diane was employed with Phalen’s Bakery, General Hospital, and Caledonia Club.

Diane is survived by her Love of her life and best friend Godfrey Mauger, children Debra (Mike) Gormley, Roy (Tanya) MacMillian and Tammy Mauger. Loving grandchildren Ryan, Brandon, Taylor, Nathan Frankie. Devoted sisters Betty Budden, Verna Durant , Karen, Nichol and brother David (Barbara)Martin, nieces and nephews, close friends Linda and Donna, also extended family.

Predeceased by special bother-in-law George Budden.

As with all the challenges Diane faced in her too short life, she faced her on going illness with dignity, grace and beauty. She will forever be remembered as a loving and giving friend to all who knew her.

Visitation for Diane will be held on Wednesday July 11, 2012 from 7-9pm at Patten Funeral Home 71 Union St, Glace Bay. Funeral service will be held on Thursday July 12, 2pm at the Salvation Army, Union St., Glace Bay.
