Doris was such a part of our growing up in Shelburne, NS. I was often at her house as a girl visiting her daughter Jane. I remember watching one of the first television sets at their house. At Christmastime we would visit each other's houses and gather each family up until we had a parade of families and, of course, Doris and Angus were part of that parade. Such fun! I also remember Doris visiting our cottage where the cat dragged in a rabbit right over her head - I can still hear her scream. Doris was a wonderful and warm person with a wonderful sense of humor who touched many lives in a most positive way. Our condolences to the family. Anne and Judy Cox

The family of Doris MacLeod,
I am sorry for your loss. I knew Doris from the War brides lunches. When I drove mum and her friends, Doris was one of the ladies who travelled to lunch with us. I loved all the war brides, and felt a deep sadness with the passing of each one. They were a lovely group who so enjoyed each other’s company. May the peace that comes from memories shared, comfort you now and in the days ahead. You are in my thoughts.

I have been very fortunate to have had the opportunity to meet Mrs. MacLeod on a few occasions
(to meet her, you would never forget her!) Always informed of current events , local or abroad , as well as a lady who possessed true grit, determination mixed with great humour. The consistent support of Greg & Joan, as well as the neighbours who loved and supported her enabled her to remain in her home. May she Rest in Peace.

Deepest Sympathies to all family and friends on the loss of this remarkable Lady.
