It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dorothy Marie Forbes (McKay) our mother, grandmother, great grand mother and sister on September 13, 2014 at the Glace Bay Hospital.

Born in Glace Bay she was the daughter of the late Mary Hart and Eddie Forbes.

Over the years Dorothy loved dancing, travel, family events with grandchildren, shopping, and going to Bingo with friends.

She is survived by daughter Camille (Harry)Glace Bay, four sons John (Jan), Calder(Leeanne), Craig Junior (Carol) all of Glace Bay, Keith, Moncton NB, one sister Lena Browner, Glace Bay. Also, loving grandchildren John Robert, Adam, Courtney, Jenna, Jordan, Marci, D.H., Ashley and one great grandchild Landon.

Besides her parents she was predeceased by husband Craig McKay, and later Harold Oakfield a companion from Halifax, five brothers Ruben, Willie, Roy, Evert, Clarence and a son in infancy.

Visitation will be held on Thursday September 18, 2014 at Patten Funeral Home 71 Union St, Glace Bay from7-9pm. Memorial service will be held Friday September 19, 2pm in Patten Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Vernon Reid officiating.
