I was shocked and saddened to hear of Bob’s passing. I’ve known Bob since the early 1970s, when he and Alanna were first dating. He was a true gentleman and he always had time to chat and talk about the old days. My sincere condolences go to Alanna and your family on your loss.

I haven't seen Bob in close to 20 years, yet this announcement hit me square in the gut. When we were kids, we had good times. We got into lots of trouble as Glace Bay can provide in the 60's & 70's. No law breaking and no property destruction but still raised hell now and then. Alana, you were the best thing that ever happened to Bob. From when we were a foursome back in the 70's, to the countless visits home over the years, we talked about where our lives were... as opposed to where we thought we'd go. We weren't even close. But he always said his life was better because of you. He had that big advantage over me.
Getting older, and following my almost life ending stroke a few years ago, I often think of the Bay. And the gang. Bob, Joe, et al.
My deepest sympathies to you, your family, and to you, Anne.
You will miss him. That's allowed! God bless all!

Our condolences to Alanna and family on Bobby’s passing. We were so sorry to hear he had passed Alanna. Shelly had been chatting with him a couple of weeks ago, he was so shocked to get the news. Shelly and Bob started in 26 the same day, and remained friends and co-workers over the years working at Devco....Bobby was an upstanding guy and great worker, please know our thoughts are with you and the family.
